eARC BOOK REVIEW...Player in Paradise by Rebecca Lewis

Title:  Player in Paradise
Author:  Rebecca Lewis
Publication Date: March 1st 2014
Goodreads URL: HERE
Plot:   Recent college grad Olivia Kelley just landed her dream job at the famed LA Public Relations agency, the PWR Group. She’s not looking for a relationship, and the agency has a no-dating clients policy, but when she’s tasked with handling overly-flirtatious 23-year-old bad boy actor, Austin Ford, keeping things strictly professional may be harder than she thought.

When Austin is caught cheating on his 19-year-old actress “girlfriend” Cassidy Evans, Olivia’s boss sends the celebrity couple on a romantic Hawaiian vacation to gain some positive press. She instructs Olivia to tag along to keep an eye on their behavior, but soon the getaway to paradise turns into a nightmare as Cassidy concocts a crazy new PR stunt, while Austin tries his hardest to take back control of his life. Olivia wants to help Austin, but is she willing to risk her job and future career reputation for the sexy, sweet-talking Hollywood player?

MY REVIEW:

Gosh, I hate having to say this after I had personally messaged the author requesting for an ARC BUT…Can I be brutally honest? I did like this book but at the same time it kind of fell short for me. Reason solely being: the unrealistic development between our two leads. I just wasn’t sold on their love and their SUPER FAST connection.

I swear, I REALLY tried to get it... I did! But, I just felt that there were some inconsistencies with the characters and plot where to be frugal, stunted the entire process of Austin and Olivia’s love story.

I mean, how can you become all gungho on a person that you barely know? The lust part I get but I just felt that a little more progress mentally and emotionally needed to be made before any declarations of love were ensued.

GAH!!... I feel like such a "troller"!! And NOT in a good way!! :'(

I’m not saying that this is a bad story because that’s not true. it had potential but just didn't click for me. The story IS decent along with a palpable synopsis but I just wanted more of a deeper and more pragmatic approach between these characters is all.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST anyone who’s interested in this book just to go for it because everyone has their own tastes and preferences so you might end up loving it!! All of my thoughts and ramblings are just MY HUMBLE OPINION so please! Pretty please!! Don't hate on me for not absolutely adoring this read!! I did in fact like it but I just did not love it is all.
